Digital Signature Solutions

Electronic signatures allow customers to do business at the moment they are ready to act, wherever they happen to be – in a branch of?ce, on the phone or on the internet. Across the world, they’re now being used for everything from financial forms to internal company documents to credit card applications.

With South Africa’s ECT Act having established the legal basis for electronic signatures to be valid, contracts that have been signed electronically are just as valid as pen-and-ink ones. In fact, some analysts believe a well-designed electronic process can actually be more secure than old-fashioned pen and ink.

The ePad-ink terminal offers a touch screen that is ergonomically designed to be easy to use. Signatures are captured with true-to-life quality, as well as biometric information such as time and pressure to help guarantee integrity.

Using the terminal it is easy to include handwritten signatures into electronic documents and transactions. It is particularly well suited to insurance, banking, government, medical, retail point of sale applications and ID cards.

The ePad-ink connects to a standard USB port and does not require any additional external power. The Integrisign software that comes with each ePad encrypts and permanently embeds the signature in the document. It works out of the box with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat, and comes with a software development kit (SDK) that can be used to create custom applications for any needs.
